I wrote this song back in 2022 for the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. Even though it didn’t get any notice there, I’ve always been very proud of it. (You can listen to that version here or watch it here.) This is the second time I’ve attempted to take that song, which was written to be performed live with just voice and piano, and reimagine it as a full studio production.
This time I went forward with a mid-1980s sound in mind, and it stuck. I’m really excited to bring this song to life in a different way; you can listen on all of the major streaming platforms:
