The Moment

I believe there's more to life than meets the eye
Too vast to comprehend, too small to see
And I believe in the miracle of science
Why is magic not still a possibility

Everyone's afraid and anxious
About what is and what might be
We wear our fear like a favorite blanket
And it blinds us to goodness, to generosity

And you say that words are empty here
And love has flown, replaced by fear
But I don't know
I guess that seems a little simple somehow

I had a dream we were all together in the moment
It was a beautiful place to be
Next morning I woke up feeling hopeful
And the future seemed more real to me

To hope for life out of a dream
