Zeros and Ones

Are you one of us or one of them
You've got to choose now
Are you feeling happy or feeling sad
Thumbs up, thumbs down
Are you on the right or on the left
You've got to pick one
Are you just like me or are you bad

It must be nice
To think you're living in a world that's so black and white
And it must be great
To think the only ways to feel are love and hate
The older I get
The less I think I know about all of this
But it must be fun
To be living in your world of zeros and ones

It's always one or the other

Are you rich or are you poor
There's no such thing as a middle anymore
Are you weak or are you strong
Are you part of the problem or part of the solution
Do you agree with me or are you wrong

You don't want to know about the context
You know how you're feeling and you don't care about the facts
You don't want to hear that it's complicated
As you're forming up your columns to mount all your attacks

Well it must be nice
To be living in a world that's so black and white
And it must be great
To think the only things you're feeling are love and hate
The older I get
The less I think I know about all of this
But it must be fun
To be living in your world of zeros and ones

It must be nice to be so certain
You seem so certain
