Wake Up

How can you dream about something that won't fit inside your mind
We've got to leave our narrow views of the world behind
God only knows what we may find

And I see you making eyes at the future
Are you flirting with disaster
There's no way to know
You've always got a smile for the next adventure
Time flows ever faster
As we go

And you always lend a hand to the unfortunate ones
Is it guilt that motivates you
Did you lose your way
And you've always got an elbow for the profligate sons
Is it judgment that awaits you
Not today

Today we'll stay we'll find a way
Some way to take away the pain

It's time to wake up from a dream
That was never meant to be
Wake up
Wake up and come back to me
Come back to me

And you always had a nose for trouble
