Think About It

Think about it
Don’t think about it
It’s a lot to think about

You always said you were above the fray
Now you decided it was time to play
Somebody bring it to you on a tray
Well, I just don’t know what to say

You like it better when you know the score
Get one over on the guy next door
Now I just can’t take it anymore

You wear a thin disguise
Not here to compromise
Won’t try to empathize
Say what they want to hear
You’re not what you appear
That much is crystal clear

You said you’re going to paint the town
Then you tried to burn the whole thing down
And you think we won’t remember what you said
You told some tales that weren’t quite true
But lying’s just what people do
How else are you supposed to get ahead?

Think about it
Don’t think about it
It’s a lot to think about

Sitting back to watch it all decay
The world is waiting but you still delay
If you ignore it, it’ll be okay
Well, I just don’t know what to say

You never cared about a cause before
Nothing different here and that’s for sure
Now I just can’t take it anymore

Do you have anything that’s real?
Do you know anything that’s true?
And all the fear that you conceal
You know it always shows right through

Do you have anything that’s real?
Do you know anything that’s true?
Do you have anything that’s real?
Do you know anything that’s true?
Think about it

Think about it
Don’t think about it
